Free In You*

Welcome and thanks for popping by, it's great to see you here.

You may know me from over at Becoming Dr Doc, but a lot has changed over the last 12 months and I felt that it was time to make a blog change also. I set up BDD with a specific purpose in mind which was to document my PhD journey. For now, I am not pursuing that goal and I have not blogged regularly most of this year - I even missed my 2nd Blogiversary!

So I felt it was time to try something new. To discover inspiration with a new blog for a new lifestyle!

I firstly decided that I would like to stick with the 'Becoming ...' to maintain some continuity - mostly for myself. My thought was that as I was no longer Becoming Dr Doc, what was I Becoming?! I'm always Becoming something in this journey I am on. I am constantly changing and growing and learning and Becoming ...!

I tried Becoming Me; Becoming All; Becoming True; Becoming More etc and none of it felt right. I found myself thinking about music (specifically classical music)- one of my passions, and about using musical terms as part of the title. At around the same time, I came across this quote in a book my father gave me. "the way ... is about finding freedom; the freedom to become the person you're meant to be, ..." (The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything - A Spirituality for Real Life. James Martin, SJ)

The idea of becoming the person I am meant to be resonating really strongly with me, and I set out to find a musical term meaning free.

Liberamente is an Italian term used in music to mean freely - with regard to tempo and rhythm. It literally means freely, but is also a play on words meaning free mind.

Thank you for sharing my journey in freedom, to become all that I can be.

And I'm free in you
I've got no worries on my mind
I know what to do
That's to treat you right
And love you kind
Thank you ever on my mind
Love is just like breathing
When it's true
And I'm free in you
